Knoll was born in Israel and as a child attended school in Haifa, Vienna, Paris, Montreal and New York. She graduated from The School of Visual Arts in New York and worked as an Art Director and graphic designer in publishing and advertising. After moving to Colorado and raising two children, she earned her teaching certification in Denver, Colorado, and taught high school art education.
Whether working in advertising or as an educator, she has consistently worked in the fine arts as a painter, sculptor and photographer. Her work has been shown in Israel, Austria, France, New York and Colorado.
