Working in pastel, watercolor, acrylic, and oil, Ginny Abblett has studied with artists in the U.S., Hong and Japan. Plein Air is her mode of choice and she has carted materials to paint on location throughout the world. Ginny studied education in college, then pursued a teaching career, with art providing balance in this demanding field.

Abblett’s confident hand and vibrant palette result in dreamlike landscapes and studies, and her fabric art, including pillows and floor/wall canvases, is splashed with vibrant color. Ginny’s paintings are in private and public collections in the U.S., Europe and Japan, and her work has earned numerous awards throughout Colorado and the United States.

She is represented by Ginny Abblett Fine Art at Nine10Arts, and Garden and Soul in Taos, NM. Taos is her second home, where she paints, cooks and teaches plein air workshops. Ginny works with many private students in her Denver studio, Nine10 Arts, and also teaches at The Denver Botanic Gardens.

Abblett’s paintings are popular with private collectors, decorators and commercial buyers. From deserts, mountains, and beaches to Paris parks and English gardens, her international influences and subjects speak to a sophisticated audience, yet the appeal and accessibility of her works are universal.
