Introduction to Mosaics Thursdays September 8, 15 & 22 5:30 t0 8:30 PM
This is a perfect introduction to mosaics using ceramic tile and dishes for interior display. This is a very complete class that reviews mosaic design, terminology and resources, types of materials available out there in Denver metro areas. Also it introduces substrates, fixatives, tools and their use, setting, grouting, sealing and finishing. Students will receive handouts covering glossary of terms, resources, tools & materials, and grouting.
Students will make a 12" x 12" wall piece to take home. No art or mosaic experience necessary!

Mosaic for Exterior Application Level: Beginners & Intermediate Saturdays September 10, 17 & 24 1pm – 4pm PM
This class concentrates on mosaics projects for exterior and permanent use. Emphases will be on substrates appropriate for exterior use and their preparation, setting, grouting and sealing. This class is helpful to the beginner as well as intermediate students. This class will cover tools, cutting techniques, mosaic design and lay patterns. If are a student with interior or craft mosaics experience and want to expand your knowledge to include exterior, garden or permanent installations this is a class for you. Students will create a ceramic tile mosaic stepping stone to take home.

Glass Mosaics A fun introduction to glass mosaics! Level: Beginners & Intermediate Tuesday October 4, 11 & 18 5:30 to 8:30 PM
Students will design and create their own fine art mosaic piece. Class will focus on designing for glass mosaics, introduction to different types of glass, surfaces suitable for glass mosaic, glass tools, cutting and shaping techniques and lay patterns. In this class students will design and create a 12" x 12" glass mosaic for interior display. No experience necessary, beginning and returning students welcome.
