“I would say that the focus and strength of my work is color. I am fascinated by the process of recreating colors from natural scenes and objects onto a two-dimensional surface. As I work to transform the image I want to simplify the shapes and make suggestions for the viewer to interpret. I always strive to keep the colors fresh and alive.”
